"This is a lesson to us when we’re faced with a seemingly horrible or hopeless situation. God’s grace may be standing right behind us. We may have already mistaken it for something else. But if we can remember not to rush into despair and hopelessness – if we can remember to pause for a moment; to listen and wait; to have an open mind, heart, and spirit, perhaps we will hear the risen Christ call our name, calling us out of the tomb we’re just about to build around us, calling us to a new way of perceiving and understanding what is taking place, calling us to a life that isn’t contained and controlled by our limitations, but one that is defined by the life of God: boundless, endless, and open."
